Terraced three-bay two-storey house, extant 1838. Renovated. Replacement pitched artificial slate roof with ridge tiles terminating in rendered chimney stack having stringcourse below capping supporting terracotta pots, and cast-iron rainwater goods on cut-limestone eaves retaining cast-iron conical hopper and downpipe. Roughcast walls bellcast over rendered plinth. Square-headed window openings with drag edged dragged cut-limestone sills, and concealed dressings framing replacement uPVC casement windows. Segmental-headed door opening with drag edged rusticated cut-limestone block-and-start surround centred on keystone framing replacement timber panelled door having fanlight. Street fronted with concrete footpath to front.
A house representing an integral component of the domestic built heritage of Westport. Having been well maintained, the elementary form and massing survive intact together with quantities of the historic or original fabric: the introduction of replacement fittings to the openings, however, has not had a beneficial impact on the character or integrity of a house making a pleasing visual statement in the streetscape.
