Appraisal

The vigour of this modest building is further increased with the creative and artistic use of materials such as the attractive fanlight and the detailing of the acorn finials to the cast-iron railings. These features elevate the building architecturally and stylistically above the plainer structures on Pound Street. The finely-executed outbuildings to the rear further enhance the site.
