Appraisal

A picturesque small-scale house built as one of a pair (with 15605190) possibly having origins in earlier predecessors identified on archival editions of the Ordnance Survey. Having been well maintained, the house presents an early aspect with the simple architectural attributes surviving in place, including a pared-down 'Morrison doorcase' characteristic of the locality, together with most of the historic or original fabric, thereby upholding the positive impression made on the character of Mary Street Upper.
