The National Inventory of Architectural Heritage is partnering with the Irish Georgian Society on the Appreciating and Minding our Vernacular Architecture Study Day being held on Tuesday 27th June 2023.
An exciting line-up of speakers will examine the history of our vernacular architectural heritage and give presentations on traditional building materials and techniques. The talks will include case studies on the care of our vernacular architectural heritage in line with best conservation practice. There will also be a presentation on vernacular furniture.
The Appreciating and Minding our Vernacular Architecture Study Day will be of interest to owners and prospective owners of vernacular houses as well as the heritage professionals responsible for their care and maintenance.
In-person places for the study day have now sold out, however, online places costing €40 + booking fee are still available on eventbrite.
The Appreciating and Minding our Vernacular Architecture Study Day is supported by the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage and The Heritage Council through its Heritage Capacity Fund 2023.
