Description

Detached three-bay single-storey former gate lodge, c.1870, now in use as a private house and a commercial outlet. Roughcast rendered walls with brick eaves course. Square-headed openings with replacement windows and door. Pitched slate roof with serrated cresting and brick chimney stack. Abutted by modern extension to north and east.

Appraisal

Though much altered, this former gate lodge, now known as "Roseville", retains its original roof. With the attached gates, it acts as a valuable reminder of the former extent of the Lucan House demesne.
