Detached five-bay two-storey former country house c.1830, now in use as a hotel. Roughcast rendered walls with smooth rendered base course. Timber sash windows. Pitched slate roof with smooth rendered chimney stack to gables. Gable-ended two-storey wing to south. Entrance set into conservatory extension to south-east elevation. Limestone rubble boundary wall with square-plan rubble piers. Detached three-bay single-storey roughcast rendered outbuilding to north-west with a flat roof.
This handsome nineteenth-century house, which retains much original fabric including its windows, is a larger than usual example of a standard plan rural house giving it an air of simple grandeur.
