Detached five-bay two-storey with attic Georgian house, c.1742. Roughcast rendered walls. Panelled timber door under dressed stone archivolt with plain pilasters and radial fanlight. Replacement timber sash windows. Three-storey extension to rere. Pitched slate roof behind parapet. Four-centred carriage arch preserved in rere wall of outbuilding to south. Cast-iron gate and railings on plinth wall.
Though partially refurbished, this Georgian house retains much original fabric, its unusual proportions contrasting with those of the three-bay Snugborough nearby. Adds much character to this stretch of streetscape near the Abbey in its prominent street-front location.
