Detached L-plan multiple-bay former paper mill, c.1820, now ruinous. Multiple levels from road to river, part on revetted precipice to south. To north, four bays with partially blocked brick arched openings, double-height window openings over. Brick and rubble walls. Brick arch within. Arched outlet to river.
This paper mill was operated by the Quaker Fry family until the late 1830s. It was one of at least twelve mills on the Owendoher River, and forms an important part of the industrial heritage of the area. Even in its ruinous state, it enhances the area both visually and historically.
