Freestanding cast-iron "cow tail" waterpump, c.1925, on a square plan with panelled shaft on panelled pedestal having acorn finial-topped fluted capping. Now disused. Street fronted. NOTE: The waterpump, supplied by Tonge and Taggart (established 1869) of Dublin and distinguished by an acorn finial handgrip, carries the emblem of Balrothery Rural District Council (established 1898; abolished 1925) and the "Déanta I nÉirinn" emblem created (1907) by the Irish Industrial Development Association and the first trademark registered in Ireland under the Industrial and Commercial Property (Protection) Act, 1927.
