Single-arch rubble stone footbridge over stream, c.1840, with cut-stone voussoirs. Squared rubble stone walls. Rubble stone parapet walls. Single segmental arch. Cut-stone voussoirs. Rubble stone soffits. Sited spanning stream with rubble stone retaining wall to west and planted bank to west.
This bridge is an attractive rubble stone footbridge that forms a subtle feature in the grounds of Castle View House, and which is one of a pair of footbridges in the grounds (including 11803141/KD-05-03-141). The construction of the arch that has retained its original shape is of technical and engineering merit. The bridge exhibits traditional stone masonry to the construction of the walls.
