Appraisal

A collection of appealing middle-size agricultural outbuildings augmenting the group and setting values of the Pottlerath (House) estate. A Gothic-style window recalling a feature characteristic of ecclesiastical architecture (suggesting the possibility that the fitting was salvaged from the nearby Templemaraha Church (c.1250)) distinguishes the architectural design value of one range while a further range displaying a utilitarian appearance makes a pleasing visual impression in the grounds. Each range retaining most of the original attributes the resulting assemblage contributes positively to the character of the site.
