Freestanding single-bay single-storey flat-roofed hut, dated 1897, on a pointed-arch plan over holy well. Flat concrete roof with square-profiled finials flanking central cross finial on gabled date stone/plaque base. Painted rendered walls. Pointed-arch door opening with timber boarded double doors. Set in own grounds with enclosure having painted roughcast walls over random rubble stone construction with rendered coping, and painted roughcast wall to further enclosure having rendered coping.
Making a pleasing visual impression on the side of the road a picturesque small-scale artefact represents an important element of the architectural heritage of Johnswell on account of the status as the earliest-surviving ecclesiastical site in the locality.
