Burial ground, c. 1800, no longer used. Random rubble boundary wall surrounds site; carved stone plaque to north of entrance gate with inscription. Square-profile ashlar limestone gate piers, corbelled capping stones, flanked by pedestrian gates, west entrance now blocked, cast-iron gates, fleur-de-lis finials. Burial site occupies north side of Thomas Street.
This burial ground is one of the more historic in Drogheda and played an important part in the social and religious aspect of the town. The plaque interestingly reads "A portion of this burial ground on the west side containing 1 rood and 26 perches was given as a gift to the inhabitants by the Corporation in the year 1838". Although overgrown and disused it is an important element of the historic character of Drogheda.
