Detached four-bay two-storey house, built c. 1890. Rectangular-plan with return to west, projecting single-storey square-plan bay window to north elevation, slightly projecting southern bay and single-storey hipped porch to centre east elevation, additions in south-west angle of return. Hipped slate roof, rolled clay ridge and hip tiles, crocketted stone finials to ridges, red brick corbelled chimneystacks, overhanging eaves, painted timber soffits, paired timber bracketed corbelled eaves, moulded cast-iron gutters, cast-iron downpipes; red clay tiled roof to porch. Painted roughcast rendered walling, painted smooth rendered slightly projecting chamfered plinth, quoins and cornice course, painted smooth rendered channelled walling to porch, moulded string course at door head, stepped keystone. Square-headed window openings, painted smooth rendered reveals, painted stone sills, uPVC windows, unpainted tooled stone splayed sills to bay window. Round-headed door opening, unpainted dressed limestone chamfered surround, squared plinth, painted timber plain glazed fanlight, with block-and-start effect, timber panelled door, two limestone steps. Set within own grounds, garden to east and west, boundary hedge, wrought-iron gate. Single-storey, painted rendered outbuildings to south and west.
This is a handsome well proportioned house enhanced by some attractive details including the stone door surround, crocketted finials, red brick chimneys and channelled quoins.
