Appraisal

Woodmill Bridge is a simple bridge built of traditional construction and is an attractive feature of the Mattock riverscape. The voussoirs to the arch niche and stairs leading down to water level are worthy of note. Woodmill Bridge is representative of modest bridges and is of a technical interest due to the skills involved in its construction.
