Single-arch road bridge, built c.1800. Rock-faced snecked limestone walls, with rock faced voussoirs and ashlar copings. Two blocked arches of earlier bridge to north.
The rock-faced limestone used for the construction of this bridge is of well executed dressed blocks, which are clearly the work of skilled craftsmen. The river may originally have been wider at this point as there is evidence for two arches of an earlier bridge to the north. The long parapet walls leading to the bridge create a sense of anticipation.
