Detached five-bay two-storey building, built c.1760, set within a courtyard. Pitched slate roof. Rendered walls. Timber sash windows. Round-arched door opening with a block-and-start stone surround, spoked fanlight and panelled timber door. Outbuildings of similar scale and materials to courtyard. Carriage arch opening with castellations to the north side of courtyard.
This building and group of outbuildings once served Hilltown House, a large house which was to the north. They form a group with the surviving related structures in the former demesne. The survival of many original features and materials, such as the block-and-start door surround and the castellated carriage arch, enhance the courtyard.
