Detached two-stage water tower, built c.1862, surmounted by cast-iron water tank. No longer in use. Rock-faced limestone walls with ashlar limestone cornice and red brick quoins. Pair of timber battened doors with fanlight above, set in round-headed opening with red brick dressings. Circular opening with red brick dressings and timber louvers.
This water tower forms part of a group with the related structures along the disused railway line. The base of the water tower is executed with rock-faced limestone which contrasts with the carved limestone dressings and red brick walls. The building retains many original features and materials, such as the fanlight, pair of doors and timber louvers.
