Remains of formal garden, c.1840, with ornamental water channels and pools, rustic folly and related outbuildings. Remains of seventeenth-century house to site. Doorcase of seventeenth-century house incorporated into nineteenth-century walled garden.
These gardens form part of an interesting group of Loughcrew demesne structures, with the Ionic portico, workers' houses, church, stables, graveyard and gate lodges. The garden retains many interesting features such as the rustic folly and the water features. The site is also of archaeological significance due to the seventeenth-century remains of the former Loughcrew House.
