Appraisal

The modest exterior of this church is in many ways representative of early nineteenth-century Roman Catholic church building in Ireland. Though many of the original external features and materials have been replaced, and the interior re-ordered post Vatican II, some interesting internal features survive. Of particular interest are the hood mouldings which are terminated by render cherubs.
