Single-arch masonry bridge, built c.1804, over the Grand Canal. Coursed limestone lower wall with segmental arch profile. Walls are a continuation of the lock chamber. String course. Parapets of random rubble and coped with dressed blocks. Humped deck. Situated beside the 29th lock of the Grand Canal.
This single-arch canal bridge forms part of an interesting group of related structures along the Grand Canal. It is executed to a high standard and is signifcant in terms of the associated lock.
