Description
Terraced two-bay two-storey house, c.1830. One of a pair with building to west. Pitched natural slate roof with cast-iron rainwater goods and shared brick chimneystack. Roughcast rendered walls over smooth rendered plinth. Square-headed openings with replacement fittings. Road fronted.
Appraisal
A modest and plain early nineteenth-century house, which retains its early form and character despite the loss of original fabric in recent years. It is typical of the period and it remains an attractive, if unassuming, addition to the streetscape in the former Irishtown section of Athlone.
