Gateway, extant 1886, on a symmetrical plan comprising pair of rendered piers on chamfered plinths having "Cavetto"-detailed cornices on blind friezes on stringcourses below capping supporting crocketed cast-iron double gates with rendered outer piers on chamfered plinths having "Cavetto"-detailed cornices on blind friezes on stringcourses below capping supporting crocketed cast-iron railings. Street fronted at entrance to grounds of Mayfield House.
