Description

Graveyard with collection of lichen-spotted markers, ob. 1795-1912. Set on an elevated wedge-shaped site with part creeper- or ivy-covered tuck pointed coursed rubble "Old Red Sandstone" stepped boundary wall to perimeter having lichen-spotted rendered rounded coping.

Appraisal

A graveyard making a pleasing visual statement in a seaside village street scene with lichen-spotted markers remembering officers and relatives of officers stationed in the adjacent Duncannon Fort including 'SUSANNA TODD [d. 1850] wife of JOHN TODD Bomb No. 20 3rd Battn Royal Artillery'.
