A farmhouse representing an integral component of the early twentieth-century domestic built heritage of the rural environs of Enniscorthy with the architectural value of the composition, one most likely repurposing an earlier house marked on the first edition of the Ordnance Survey (surveyed 1840; published 1841), suggested by such attributes as the compact plan form centred on a restrained doorcase; and the diminishing in scale of the openings on each floor producing a graduated tiered visual effect. Having been well maintained, the elementary form and massing survive intact together with substantial quantities of the original fabric, both to the exterior and to the interior where contemporary joinery; and sleek plasterwork refinements, all highlight the modest artistic potential of a farmhouse making a pleasing visual statement in a sylvan setting.
