Detached three-bay two-storey over basement country house, built c.1800. The country house is roughly square in plan with a later return block at one rear corner and a granite Doric portico. The walls are finished in painted roughcast with plain surrounds to the window openings. The overhanging hipped roof is slated and has rendered chimneystacks. The entrance consists of a panelled timber door with rectangular fanlight with decorative tracery, and tall sidelights with six over six timber sash frames. The roof of the portico acts as a balcony and has cast iron railings. The window openings are flat-headed and mainly have six over six timber sash frames. Some windows to rear have replacement frames. The country house is set within extensive grounds with outbuildings and a walled garden.
Good, well preserved late Georgian country house with fine Doric portico in granite.
