Freestanding three-arch humpback bridge, built c.1780. The bridge is constructed in rubble field stone and has dressed granite voussoirs. The arches are semi-circular. The bridge carries the main road over the Derry Water River.
This simple late 18th century bridge is well preserved. A plaque (1960) commemorates 'THE BROTHERS PHILLIP AND PATRICK LACEY…WHO WERE SHOT AT THIS BRIDGE WHILE RETURNING FROM THE BATTLE OF VINEGAR HILL ON 21ST JUNE 1798'.
