Description

Freestanding gable-fronted double-height Roman Catholic church, built c. 1860, with five-bay side elevation and half-octagonal apse to rear. Pitched and hipped slate roof with bands of red slate, concrete ridge crestings, cross finial and cast-iron rainwater goods. Snecked stone walls with cut-stone plinths, stepped buttresses and tripartite blind niches at apex. Lancet openings with cut-stone dressings and leaded coloured glass. Pointed arch door opening with pair of timber double leaf doors, fanlight, flanking lancet side lights, and with rose window above. Retaining interior features.
