End-of-terrace four-bay three-storey former house over basement, built c. 1750, now in use as flats. Hipped slate roof with rendered chimneystack, rooflights and dormer window. Rendered walls. Timber sliding sash windows. Timber panelled door with fanlight flanked by timber pilasters having entablature above. Retaining interior features. Flight of limestone steps leading to front door.
This house is part of a fine eighteenth-century terrace with the six adjoining houses to the east and south-east, and this terrace forms part of a significant group with the terrace of four houses to the east. These terraces are notable pieces in the urban landscape which were built in the eighteenth century close to the fashionable former mansion house. This building is enhanced by the retention of interesting features and materials, such as the interior fittings, timber sliding sash windows, slate roof, limestone steps.
