Terraced two-bay three-storey house, c. 1810, altered, c. 1970; one of three. Felt covering to steeply pitched roof. Red brick chimney stack, and rooflight to front elevation. Painted render finish to upper floors. Square headed window openings to upper floors with cills and moulded architraves. Windows are replacement timber casement. Original shopfront to ground floor with cornice, signboard and pilasters. Display window and door openings are square headed with matching modern timber doors, separate entrance to upper floors. Street frontage.
Significant early-nineteenth century terraced building retaining its original scale and form as well as a steeply pitched roofline, distinctive in this much altered streetscape. Although some modification has taken place, this building, particularly as one of a group of three, contributes positively to the street in terms of character. Important also due to its location on one of the Cork city's most historic streets.
