Terraced two-bay three-storey house, c. 1810, altered, c. 1970; one of three; in use as public house. Felt covering to steeply pitched roof. Large red brick chimney stack, and rooflight to front elevation. Painted render finish. Square headed openings with cills, moulded architraves to upper floors. Replacement timber casement windows throughout. Modern timber panelled entrance door with plain overlight. Partial remains of earlier timber pub sign with modern pub sign overlaid. Street frontage.
Significant early-nineteenth century terraced building retaining its original scale and form as well as a steeply pitched roofline, distinctive in this much altered streetscape. Despite some alterations, this building, particularly as one of a group of three, contributes positively to the street in terms of character. Important also due to its location on one of the Cork city's most historic streets.
