Single-cell chapel, built 1899, in a French Gothic style with apsidal East end, projecting gabled porch and plate tracery windows, part of South Infirmary Hospital complex. Slate pitched roof with hipped-roof to chancel. Painted render finish. Diagonal buttresses to western gable.
Very significant French Gothic style late nineteenth-century chapel, particularly important for survival of the original interior decorative scheme, fixtures and fittings, and maintenance of use as chapel. It was built and endowed by Alice M. Countess Murphy of Clifton, Cork.
