Graveyard with interments from, c.1730, formerly associated with a former Huguenot Church to the east.
Appraisal
This Huguenot cemetery is a significant contributor to the architectural heritage of the city as it is an interesting physical reminder of the religious diversity of the city in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Many Huguenots left France during the period from 1690 to 1720, due to religious persecution, and a Huguenot quarter was established in this part of the Cork city. The cemetery was related to a former Huguenot church which was located on the appropriately named French Church Street.
