Fountain designed by Sir John Benson, built 1860, having a moulded limestone base, square plan with circular projections to each side and a three tier arrangement to centre portion with entwined dolphins.
Fountain designed by Sir John Benson and having a moulded limestone base; built 1860. Marks the site where Tuckey's Bridge stood. The inscription reads : "This fountain was erected in 1860 by Walter Berwick Esq in rememberance of the great kindness shown to him by all classes in the City and County of Cork while presiding amongst them for twelve years as Chairman of Quarter Sessions." Benson also designed the fountain in the English Market.
