Freestanding Church of Ireland church, built c. 1810, with three-stage belfry tower to west end, three-bay nave and projecting porch to north elevation of nave. Now ruinous. Castellated tower with pinnacles. Roughcast rendered walls with string courses to tower, and circular recessed panel to north elevation of tower. Remains of pointed arch window openings to nave, with pointed arch window openings to tower. Remains of pointed arch door opening to tower and to projecting porch, accessed by steps. Graveyard to site, with grave markers dating from eighteenth century. Ruined fifteenth-century Dominican friary and holy well to site. Site enclosed by coursed random rubble walls with wrought-iron gates flanked by ashlar limestone piers.
Though now derelict, this church building retains some attractive features and materials including the tower with corner pinnacles. Recessed from the road behind attractive ornate gates and railings, this church and its curtilage of graveyard, ruined Friary and adjacent castle, form an interesting group set on an elevated site.
