Remains of freestanding gable-fronted former Church of Ireland church, built c. 1700, having five-bay side elevations, bowed chancel and three-stage square-plan tower to west. Roofless. Rubble limestone walls, with carved limestone eaves course, and platbands dividing stages to tower. Round-headed window openings to nave with rubble voussoirs. Slit windows to first stage of tower, square-headed openings to second stage with dressed surrounds and pointed arch openings to third stage with dressed voussoirs. Pointed arch door opening to tower with dressed voussoirs and recent metal gate.
This ruined precursor of the present Church of Ireland church stands in the same graveyard. Its west tower is its most prominent element and the round chancel is unusual. The surviving carved limestone detailing is well executed and demonstrates the quality of the building when it was in use.
