Semi-detached three-bay three-storey house, built c. 1870, as a pair with adjoining house. Comprising three-storey central projecting bay, single-storey projecting entrance block with glazed lean-to and single-bay two-storey projecting bay to south elevation. Hipped slate roof with rendered chimneystacks and rendered eaves course. Painted rendered walls. Camber-headed openings having render surrounds with keystones, replacement uPVC windows, limestone sills and render sill courses. Round-headed openings to ground floor having render surrounds and replacement uPVC windows. Round-headed opening to entrance bay having render surround, overlight and timber panelled door. Brick square-profile piers to site with render balustrades atop render over rubble limestone masonry walls.
This pair retains its original form and interesting features. Projecting planes such as the bay window and recessed entrance block are characteristic features of late Victorian architecture, of which this pair is a notable example. Prominently sited, the pair makes a pleasing silhouette in the landscape.
