Semi-detached three-bay two-storey house over basement, built c. 1860, having gabled end-bay to east and gabled central porch. Pitched slate roof with rendered chimneystacks. Timber consoles and render eaves course to gabled end-bay. Painted roughcast rendered walls with render continuous sill course having foliate label stops to corners of gable. Camber-headed openings, all with replacement sash windows and limestone sills. Round-headed openings to first floor, gabled end-bay, having render hood moulding with ornate label stops. Ornate foliate plaques to ground floor windows. Entrance comprising round-headed opening having render surround with foliate consoles and spoked fanlight over timber panelled door. Painted roughcast rendered boundary walls with brick copings, square-profile piers and single-leaf timber gate.
The house is part of a group of late nineteenth century housing which sprung up in this area following the arrival of the railway and the establishment of Youghal as a fashionable sea side resort. The decorative foliate plaques add artistic interest to the house, while the paired window arrangement is a motif which is found throughout the group.
