Semi-detached two-bay two-storey with dormer attic house, built c. 1870, having gabled end bay, porch to front (west), crenellated full-height bay window to south gable. Pitched slate roof with rendered chimneystacks and ornate timber bargeboards with finials and quatrefoil motifs. Rendered walls with render plinth course and moulded string course to bay window. Oculus to gabled end bay, front elevation having timber casement window. Round-headed opening to south gable, second floor with replacement uPVC window. Square-headed openings having one-over-one pane timber sliding sash windows and painted stone sills. Square-headed opening to porch with timber panelled door. Pair of square-profile rubble sandstone piers to south.
One of a pair, this house is a notable example of late Victorian architecture. The irregular roofline, ornate timber bargeboards and use of gables and gablets are characteristic features of the Tudor Revival style. It is distinguished by the oculus and Diocletian-style windows, which are unusual features in an otherwise typical Victorian building.
