Attached five-bay three-storey former house formerly with integral carriage arch, built c.1860, now in use as a public house. Carriage arch converted to shop, now disused. Pitched slate roof with red brick chimneystacks, cast-iron and uPVC rainwater goods and uPVC clad eaves. Roughcast rendered walls with render plat band. Tiled shopfront to ground floor with timber name fascia. Timber shopfront to former carriage arch. Square-headed window openings with painted render surrounds and sills having two-over-two timber sliding sash windows to first floor and one-over-one timber sliding sashes to second floor. Replacement fittings to ground floor openings.
The scale and form of this former house make a positive contribution to the streetscape. Though the building has been altered, it retains much of its historic character, particularly through the retention of the timber sliding sash windows.
