Detached gable-fronted three-bay single-storey former laundry, built c.1910, with seven-bay side elevation. Pitched artificial slate roof with timber bargeboards and eaves boards and replacement rainwater goods. Squared roughly coursed limestone walls with red brick laid in English garden wall bond to south gable, red brick quoins and cement render to north elevation. Segmental-headed window openings with gauged red brick heads, red brick block-and-start reveals, limestone sills and replacement uPVC windows. Segmental-headed door openings with gauged red brick heads, red brick block-and-start reveals and replacement doors. Some openings now blocked. Located within barracks complex.
A former laundry that displays the simple, handsome detailing which is found throughout the barracks' historic buildings. The use of a range of materials add colour and textural interest to the building and its site. It is an interesting reminder of the service buildings which were built as part of large scale military complexes.
