Appraisal

Built as a tomb to house the remains of the Lyons family, who were clothiers in Cork with their business located on South Main Street, this mausoleum displays workmanship of a high quality, particularly in the carved stone details. The mausoleum resembles a miniature chapel and is orientated east-west. It is the only such mausoleum in this cemetery.
