Foot bridge, erected c.1860, comprising five surviving spans of stone slabs resting on rubble stone piers, on north bank of Awbeg River, apparently formerly crossing width of river. River section removed during dredging c. 1910. Bridge gave access to Water House, now ruined, to north-west, apparently of early eighteenth-century date and having wall oven. Concrete foot bridge to west.
This is a very rare example of a clapper bridge which once provided pedestrian access across the Awbeg River.
