Detached five-bay single-storey laundry building to west of Nazareth House, built c. 1940, with flat-roofed single-bay blocks to each end. Pitched artificial slate roof with lantern having ribbon windows and some cast-iron rainwater goods and red-brick chimneystack to east elevation. Roughcast rendered walls having smooth plinth course and iron tie-plates. Square-headed window openings having render sills and six-over-six pane timber sliding sash windows with some patterned glass. Square-headed door openings to middle of gable elevations of lateral blocks, having replacement timber panelled doors.
This laundry is a typical structure associated with institutions such as, in this case, a hospital. It is enhanced by the retention of timber sash windows and its roof lantern.
