Single-arch limestone bridge carrying road over disused railway track, built c. 1860. Rock-faced walls and parapet, latter having ashlar copings. Ashlar string course above segmental arch, latter having rock-faced voussoirs.
This robustly constructed bridge demonstrates excellent quality stonework typical of the railway construction of its time with rock-faced rustication and fine ashlar. Formerly part of the Mallow-Fermoy line and set adjacent to the former Ballyhooly railway station, it is an important part of the industrial heritage of the area.
