Detached six-bay single-storey former worker's house, built c. 1820, now in use as Scout accommodation. Hipped slate roof with rooflights, red brick chimneystacks and decorative ceramic chimneypots. Painted rubble stone walls. Square-headed window openings with painted stone sills and two-over-two pane timber sliding sash and timber casement windows. Square-headed door opening with cut limestone threshold and half-glazed timber door. Cast-iron square-profile water pump to north elevation.
Skilfully constructed of robust materials and retaining its early character and form. Part of the historically important Fota House demesne which once comprised the whole island, the survival of its notable demesne structures, distinguished gardens and formal layout adds significantly to Ireland's national heritage.
