Detached square-plan single-bay four-stage ornamental tower, built c.1840. Rubble stone walls having corner piers. Square-headed openings, some with label mouldings, to lower floor. Pointed arch openings to top floor.
Built by Charles Beamish of Delacour Villa, this eye-catching ornamental tower is a reminder of the wealth and grandeur of the estate in the past. While it has been suggested that it was built as a mausoleum, it would appear to be a folly rather than a burial chamber. Retaining much of its historic character and features, it is an interesting addition to the local architectural heritage.
