Detached five-bay two-storey house, built c.1820, with two-bay two-storey recessed block to east elevation, having canted bay window forming part of verandah to front (south) elevation and further gable-fronted single-bay two-storey block with canted-plan porch to east. Single-storey lean-to extension to west elevation. Hipped slate roof with overhanging eaves, rendered chimneystacks and cast-iron rainwater goods. Rendered walls. Square-headed openings with replacement windows. Square-headed openings to bay window with one-over-one pane timber sliding sash windows. Square-headed door opening with timber panelled door, flanked by fluted engaged columns and cornice with sidelights and overlight. Portico comprising circular-profile columns supporting frieze and cornice. Square-headed door opening to canted porch with timber panelled door. Cast-iron square-profile piers with decorative caps and chamfered shafts to site entrance to north with cast-iron double-leaf gates.
Though an additional opening as been added to the upper floor, the original fenestration rhythm remains apparent and is notable for its asymmetry. The imposing appearance is enlivened by the portico and bay windows. The site is enhanced and artistic interest added by piers and gates to entrance.
