Appraisal

Haulbowline Island has been in military use since 1609 and the array of structures on the island contribute much to Ireland's maritime heritage and naval history. This building is similar in style to many on the island and utilizes many of the same materials, the variety of which adds to appearance. Stonework is well executed and shows artistic interest and skill. Regular façade enhanced and articulated by window surrounds. Ramp and pier to site unusual features and add context.
