Detached seven-bay single-storey with dormer attic former radio station, built c 1920, later used as house, now disused. Projecting gabled two-bay porch and single-bay projecting bay, flanked by recent single-bay additions. Pitched slate roofs with rendered chimneystacks, raised gable copings and cast-iron rooflights. Roughcast rendered walls with inset oval plaque to porch gable. Square-headed openings having timber sliding sash window and timber glazed door. Pair of wrought-iron gates to site.
Built as a radio station for Carlisle Fort, this building was a significant addition to the army's communication infrastructure. Though now disused, the building retains much of its original character and fabric, and is a notable twentieth century addition to a predominantly nineteenth century military complex.
